Total Ammonia Calculation

The chart below is provided to aid in determining ammonium and total ammonia levels based on your water’s ammonia and pH values.  Look across the row corresponding to the aquarium’s temperature. Cross-reference the current pH and read off the conversion factor. Divide the current NH3 level indicated on the Sentry card by the conversion factor listed on the chart. Multiply by 100 to obtain the total ammonia level.

Ex: Temp= 26°C, pH = 7.1, NH3 = .005 ppm
Total ammonia = (.005/.76)*100
Total ammonia = .658 ppm
